Aldo Betschart was THE founding member of Verwaint in 1988, a so called 'Nature Core' Band from Muotathal, central Switzerland. As with Despu Palliton, he wrote the songs, played guitar and sang.

Verwaint practiced their unique Thrash/Hardcore/Rock music for more than eleven years and performed on various stages. They recorded and published 1 demo and 3 CDs. Although Verwaint ain't nothing more than history, their music as well as their 'cult' reputation lives on.
Verwaint disbanded in 1999.

Betschart was looking out for 'new directions'. He lived and worked in New York City for one and a half years: doing various jobs, including: tattooing and writing as a journalist (he worked as a korrespondent for the swiss newspaper "Bote der Urschweiz". As an author of shortstories, he also began his first novel). In his sparetime he kept playing his Gibson SG as well as playing the drums for "Headcondome".

Back in Switzerland in early 2001, he settled in Zürich, where he finally got the opportunity to form a brandnew band, a true hard and heavy group, playing its own style.

Despu Palliton, no doubt, is Betschart's child.

Dani Koblet from Zurich is hitting the drums since the late 80s. He used to play (Wisdom, Captain Future and the Swisskiss, Maraxofax, Böd, Aamatong,) and still plays (F.O.A.) in various bands.

Enjoying shouting vocals, versatile style, and appropriate, concrete thoughness in sound, he found Aldo and a piece of homeland in an ad.
